Karen Foster has loved to draw since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She doesn't remember being bored as a child because her mother always had art supplies on-hand. Karen's interest in art continued throughout her youth and she later received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration and Design from Brigham Young University. She worked as a children’s magazine art director and later as a children’s book writer and illustrator before establishing Karen Foster Design.
Karen Foster's first set of eight themed papers were created at her kitchen table and published in the Spring of 1998. Her children packed and shipped the orders from her garage which served as a warehouse. With a burgeoning business to manage, Karen enlisted the help of talented designers and dedicated employees. Through the efforts of her innovative and creative team, the company continues to offer innovative paper and stickers as well as embellishments, rub-ons, albums, tools and storage. Karen Foster Design continues to grow and is headquartered in Centerville, Utah.
